#IGPPExpertTalks

An initiative of the IGPP, #IGPPExpertTalks aims to connect the wider public to the issues of public policy and governance. The changed environs, today, call for an approach away from the top-down policy formulations and true challenges of public policy and governance in India can only be understood if, one, the masses are better able to under the rationale behind the government’s policies and better able to understand their implications. Two, for the purpose of better formulation of policies, it is indispensable that once the public is enabled to understand policies, they are also able to articulate the challenges posed or solved by such policies, for it is the common public that has to live with policies formulated by the government.

With this objective in mind, #IGPPExpertTalks, is envisioned as an interactive platform where through engagements with various stakeholders like academicians, civil society, government functionaries, industry leaders, international domain experts, policymakers and policy practitioners, the various issues being faced by the society at large, whether they are economic, political, cultural or others are discussed in a simple, lucid and concise manner and an awareness is aimed to be created as to how various stakeholders can contribute to find creative solutions to issues that plague our society.
